Position Description

STRONG STAR Consortium within the UT Health San Antonio Division of Behavioral Medicine is seeking a competent and motivated postdoctoral psychology fellow to serve as a research therapist for a study funded by the Department of Defense (DoD). The aim of the study is to better understand how to improve functioning and readiness for active duty service members and beneficiaries who experience chronic pain. Study recruitment is occurring in the primary care clinics located on or nearby the military installation of Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas. Individuals must be willing to serve as behavioral health consultants and provide brief, targeted behavioral and cognitive assessments and interventions within the primary care setting

Position Requirements

Qualifications for this position include a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology. Previous experience with military service members, veterans, or beneficiaries, working in primary care clinics or treating chronic pain are preferred but all applications are welcomed.
