Position Description

A position for a postdoctoral fellow is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Weixing Zhao in the Department of Biochemistry and Structural Biology (BSB) and the Greehey Children's Cancer Research Institute (GCCRI) at the University of Texas Health at San Antonio (UT Health SA). Our research interests lie in delineating BRCA1/2 (breast cancer susceptibility genes 1 and 2) biology and the protein interaction networks that regulate the tumor suppressor function of BRCA1 and BRCA2, and the drug response of patients who have germline and somatic BRCA1/2 mutations, with the goal of providing molecular insights to translate into effective regimens to benefit related cancer patients.

Position Requirements

We are seeking highly motivated candidates who have a Doctoral degree and have solid training in molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology with scientific publications. Previous research experience in DNA repair and cancer biology is preferred but not required.
