Position Description: 

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Sareddy in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Texas Health at San Antonio. The primary research focus in Dr. Sareddy's laboratory is to investigate the role of hormonal signaling and epigenetic mechanisms in the pathogenesis of brain and gynecologic cancers using in vitro and in vivo models. The project goals are to examine the mechanisms through which epigenetic inhibitors promote tumor suppression and test the efficacy of novel epigenetic inhibitors alone or in combination with standard therapy in treating therapy resistance and tumor recurrence.

Position Requirements: 

The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. degree with a strong background in cell biology, molecular biology, cancer stem cells, drug testing, bioinformatics, and experience in animal handling. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication, intrapersonal and organizational skills. The candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and hardworking and have the ability to work with research animals.
