A position for a postdoc is available in the laboratory of Dr. Thomas G. Boyer in the Department of Molecular Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). Our research integrates molecular cell biology and biochemistry to study the genetic and epigenetic basis of cancer and neurodevelopmental disorders. This position is available immediately for highly motivated individual to study the pathogenesis of uterine leiomyomas (uterine fibroids), with an emphasis on the genetic and epigenetic factors that drive myometrial stem cell transformation leading to uterine fibroid formation. We are also interested in the development of new pharmacological therapies for the treatment of uterine fibroids.
Requirements include a Doctoral degree in the biological sciences or related scientific disciplines with relevant lab experience in molecular cell biology/biochemistry. A background in cancer biology and epigenetics is preferred but not essential.
Please submit a cover letter, CV, brief description of scientific accomplishments, and three reference letters to Dr. Thomas G. Boyer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
