We are seeking an outstanding candidate to fill a post-doctoral position working in the field of mucosal immunology in Dr. Alexei Tumanov's laboratory in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). We investigate how the immune system regulates the delicate balance between protective immunity and immunopathology at mucosal surfaces, in particular in the gut. The project will be focused on the role of innate lymphoid cells and lymphotoxin signaling in intestinal inflammation and colorectal cancer.
