During SAPRF, the 2024 Postdoctoral Research Fellow of the Year Awardee was recognized and presented with a plaque.
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow of the Year Award, which is in its third year, recognizes an outstanding UT Health San Antonio postdoctoral research fellow who has demonstrated not just excellence in research but also accomplishments in other areas, including leadership and service. Nominations were invited from postdoctoral research fellows, faculty mentors and staff.
Dr. Daniel Adekunbi, a postdoctoral fellow in the department of Molecular Medicine mentored by Dr. Adam Salmon, was selected from a competitive field of nominees by a faculty committee as the 2024 Postdoctoral Research Fellow of the Year.
Dr. Alisa Isaac, a postdoctoral fellow in the department of Cell Systems and Anatomy mentored by Dr. Jim Lechleiter, received an honorable mention.
