Multiple fully-funded postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Bess Frost at UT Health San Antonio in the Sam & Ann Barshop Institute for Aging and Longevity Studies, the Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases, and the Department of Cell Systems and Anatomy. The Frost lab studies fundamental processes in cell biology that drive age-related neurodegenerative disorders (https://www.bessfrostlab.com). Work in the Frost lab ranges from studies in the Drosophila brain to human clinical trials. Projects will be focused on the role of transposable elements in physiological aging and neurodegeneration.
Applicants must hold a PhD in a related field. While those with expertise in the fields of neurodegeneration, transposable elements, virology, and/or bioinformatics are particularly encouraged to apply, all applicants will be carefully considered based on their accomplishments and references.
Applications including a current CV, a cover letter, and three references (names and contact information) should be e-mailed to Dr. Bess Frost at bfrost@uthscsa.edu.
