Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Bibhuti Mishra at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio. Highly motivated candidate will join projects funded by multiple NIH R01 grants to study fundamental epigenomic mechanisms influencing chromatin architecture, gene transcription, and RNA biology in programming macrophage and neutrophil responses to related to the understanding of innate memory and trained immunity in Pneumonia, Sjogren syndrome, and Neurocysticercosis. The successful candidates will have expertise for taking a leading role with primary focus on on epigenetic regulation of inflammation and myeloid cell functions and plasticity.

The candidate should possess exceptionally strong academic credentials and interest in multidisciplinary collaborative research. Required expertise includes transcriptional regulation, epigenetics, chromatin architecture, RNA biology. Preferences will be given to candidates with technical knowledge of sophisticated epigentic techniques including but not limited to RNA-Seq, ChIP-seq, Short capped RNA-Seq, Pro-Seq, permanganate footprinting.
