Joe Schell

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Dr. Schell was born and raised in Quincy, Illinois. He obtained his bachelor's degree in 2014 from Saint Louis University in Chemistry. With an interest in computational chemistry, he went on to get his Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry in 2020 from the University of Missouri - Columbia under the guidance of Dr. Rainer Glaser. For the latter part of his Ph.D. he spent two years working at Missouri S&T in Rolla.

Outside the lab, Dr. Schell's interests include listening to music, playing tennis, walking his dog, and spending time with his wife and family, especially his numerous nieces and nephews. He also does volunteer work for Street Epistemology International, an organization devoted to the promotion of, and education about, the practice of Street Epistemology.
