Somayyeh Nasiripour

Dr. Somayyeh Nasiripour is a clinical pharmacist, researcher, and academic leader with extensive experience in clinical pharmacy education and translational cardiovascular research. She served as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at Iran University of Medical Sciences from 2014 to 2023, where she played an active role in curriculum development, mentoring students, and leading clinical research initiatives. With over a decade of academic and clinical experience, she has contributed to multiple clinical trials and published research in peer-reviewed, high-impact journals.

She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacy from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2013, graduating with distinction and ranking second in the National Board of Pharmacotherapy Examination. Her doctoral research focused on the comparative effects of enoxaparin and heparin on inflammatory biomarkers in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction, strengthening the evidence base for cardiovascular pharmacotherapy.

Currently, Dr. Nasiripour is a postdoctoral fellow in Cellular and Integrative Physiology in San Antonio, where she integrates clinical insight with molecular and cellular research approaches. Her work aims to bridge bedside clinical practice with bench research, advancing translational medicine in cardiovascular disease. As a mentor, she is dedicated to cultivating scientific independence, analytical thinking, and research integrity in trainees, preparing them to become confident and impactful contributors to biomedical science.
