Position Description
The Center for Precision Medicine at UT San Antonio is recruiting a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join a growing research program investigating the molecular and metabolic mechanisms driving brain vasculopathies. The fellow will work under the primary mentorship of Dr. Afaf Saliba, PhD, Assistant Professor of Medicine, with guidance from Dr. Kumar Sharma, MD, Director of the Center for Precision Medicine.
Position Requirements
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We welcome ambitious and innovative scientists who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and hold a PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree in vascular biology, neuroscience, molecular and cellular biology, metabolism, immunology, or a related biomedical discipline. Experience with animal models, vascular or brain biology, molecular techniques, imaging, mass spectrometry-based omics, or computational analysis is desirable. Above all, we seek candidates with scientific curiosity, rigor, productivity, and a strong commitment to developing toward research independence.
