Position Description

Dr. Guangming Zhong's laboratory located in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio) is seeking an outstanding candidate to fill a postdoctoral position working in the field of immunology and infectious diseases.  The postdoc will focus their studies on the investigation of chlamydial pathogenesis and development of chlamydial vaccines using various preclinical models. Our vaccine research efforts will include both evaluating vaccine efficacies and revealing mechanisms of vaccine-induced transmucosal immunity. 

Position Requirements

Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with background in immunology, virology, infectious diseases or related areas. Prior experience in analysis of immune cells and responses in animal models using flow cytometry, microscopic imaging and molecular biological techniques is desired.
