Posted Date:

Position Description

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. David Kadosh at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. The Kadosh laboratory uses a variety of molecular, bioinformatic, genetic, cellular, genomic and biochemical approaches to address fundamental and clinically relevant questions in fungal pathogenesis. Research will focus on molecular mechanisms that control Candida albicans morphology, virulence and virulence-related properties in response to host environmental cues (for additional details and publications see https://wp.uthscsa.edu/mimg/team-member/david-kadosh-ph-d/). Many opportunities are available for collaboration with both basic and clinical mycologists at the internationally recognized San Antonio Center for Medical Mycology (see http://www.sacmm.org/). This group represents one of the largest mycology centers in the U.S. and includes 12 laboratories working on a variety of topics in fungal pathogenesis.

Position Requirements

Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree and previous experience in molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, genetics, genomics, biochemistry, bioinformatics and/or fungal pathogenesis.
