Position Description

The laboratory of Dr. Marcel Daadi is searching for a highly motivated Postdoctoral candidate with strong ambition and commitment to a productive environment in a high achieving academic and industry environment. Our laboratory focuses on neural stem cell isolation, perpetuation and differentiation into specific neural lineages for basic biology, drug discovery and stem cell-based therapy for neurological disorders. We have discovered technologies for neural stem cell derivation and differentiation into dopaminergic neurons with application in Parkinson’s disease, stroke, traumatic brain injury and other neurological disorders. We work with rodent and nonhuman primate models of Parkinson’s disease, stroke and traumatic brain injury.

Position Requirements

Ph.D. in neurosciences or related field, biological engineering, cellular, molecular or developmental biology. Experience in induced pluripotent stem cells, bioinformatics, single cell data analysis is considered plus. We are also considering candidates with expertise in preclinical development, animal models, behavioral analysis and stereotaxic surgeries.
