Position Description

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratories of Dr. Preetesh Jain, Associate Professor, Mays Cancer Center, and Dr. Gang Huang, Professor, the Department of Cell Systems & Anatomy, Long School of Medicine, Mays Cancer Center, UT San Antonio Health Science Center.

Dr. Preetesh Jain is an associate professor at the Mays Cancer Center and has over 20 years of experience in the field of hematology/oncology.

Dr. Huang’s Lab is performing a cutting-edge research project to understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying genetic, epigenetic and metabolic alterations-mediated hematological malignancies and anemia. Dr. Huang’s Lab is also developing novel novel immunotherapies for both leukemia and solid tumor - hope to bring next generation innovative therapies to the bed side.

Position Requirements

Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree, with demonstrated experience in molecular and cellular biology and biochemistry or related fields. Applicants with experience in stem cell biology and hematological malignancies are encouraged. The position is funded by a fund to Dr. Preetesh Jain. San Antonio is a dynamic and multicultural city with a relatively low cost-of-living and an outstanding cultural and educational environment.
