Office of Postdoctoral Affairs

Undergraduate research positions are available at UT Health San Antonio

Posted Date:

Position Description

Undergraduate research positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Xiaoli Sun at the Department of Pharmacology, Mays Cancer Center, and Transplant Center, UT Health San Antonio. Positions will remain open until filled.

Our lab combines basic science with clinical research to understand the pathophysiology of chronic diseases and identify novel therapeutic targets for more effective therapies (Sun et al., Cell Metabolism 2020; Zhao, Sun et al., Science 2020). We study human samples and employ genetically engineered mouse models to uncover key drivers of disease initiation and progression. By integrating next-generation sequencing, single-cell technologies, proteomics, and lipidomics, we are gaining striking new insights into disease mechanisms at the molecular and cellular levels.

Position Requirements

We welcome applications from motivated undergraduates with a strong interest in pursuing research careers and preparing for PhD or master’s programs. Prior laboratory experience is preferred but not required.

How to Apply

To apply, please email your cover letter and CV to Dr. Xiaoli Sun at sunx1@uthscsa.edu. We look forward to working with talented and dedicated young scientists!
